Black Shadow Records Release 2nd Hit Video
Miami-based Black Shadow Records, who produced the chart-topping smash dancehall hit from Sean Paul,"Gimme the Light", are back on the charts again with Buju Banton's "Paid Not Played" from the Surprise Riddim.
"Paid Not Played” produced on Black Shadow Records’ “Surprise” rhythm, has been placed into Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) video rotation on “Rap City.” The video has also aired as a featured “New Joint” on BET’s popular nightly program “106 & Park.”
The director Gil Green, who also directed Sizzla’s “Thank U Mamma” video, returned to his hometown of Miami to work with Buju. Buju’s music and lyrics, distinctive image and resinous bass vocal have kept him at the top of reggae through five studio albums, numerous # 1 Jamaican hits and extensive touring.
“Paid Not Played” is the first video featured off on Black Shadow’s Surprise rhythm to-date. The “Surprise” rhythm, released in April 2003 has been topping charts with other artist including Sean Paul and Wayne Wonder.
