Croom accepts MSU head coaching job
Sylvester Croom, assistant head coach with the Green Bay Packers, has accepted the head football coaching job for the Mississippi State University Bulldogs. Croom becomes the first and only black coach in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and joins only a handful of black coaches within the Division I-A coaching ranks.
